Simmons Center Symposium: DEI Issues in the Development Sector

In September, we hosted our second symposium that brought together different voices to discuss DEI issues in our sector. The conversation was started with guest speaker, Angela Bruce-Raeburn (DiverseDEV). Her talk addressed the many places in which international development struggles with inclusivity and equity. She discussed different strategies that non-profits can use to tackle those issues in a conscious and intentional way. After an insightful talk and audience Q&A she was joined by our panelists Breanna Rodriguez (Essence Consulting) and Shilpa Alva (Surge for Water). We also want to thank Peter Vega for helping moderate all these conversations.
